Privacy Policy

From parents. Creating an account requires your name, email address, and a password, which we store only in securely hashed form. If your family subscribes to a paid plan, all payment details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor — your card number never touches our servers, and we keep only a billing reference that connects your subscription to your account.

About your children. We deliberately collect as little as possible: a child's profile holds only a first name, an optional birth year (to suggest a grade level), an optional 4-digit profile PIN, and a chosen avatar. We never ask for a child's email, photograph, address, or any other personal details.

Schoolwork records. As your child studies — including the daily Bible course — we record lesson completions, quiz answers and scores, estimated attendance minutes, and conversations with the AI tutor. These records exist so your homeschool has the transcripts, progress reports, and attendance logs it needs.

We use your family's information for one purpose: operating your homeschool. That means delivering the curriculum, tracking progress, building your records, managing your subscription, and answering you when you write to us. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we show no advertising.

When your child asks the AI tutor for help, the conversation is sent to Anthropic's API solely to generate the response. Every word of every conversation is visible to you in your parent dashboard — we built it so that nothing stands between you and what your child is being taught. Each student profile also has a daily message limit.

Only a parent or legal guardian can open a Foundations Faith Academy account, and your consent to your child's use of the platform is collected and recorded at signup, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). You may review your child's information and AI conversations at any time, and you may ask us to delete a child's profile and every record attached to it.

We set a single essential cookie — the one that keeps you signed in. There are no third-party advertising trackers on our site, and none will ever appear on the pages your children use.

A small number of service providers help us run the academy: Stripe handles payments, Anthropic generates the AI tutor's responses, and our secure cloud hosting provider runs the application and database. Each may use your data only to provide its service to us. We disclose information beyond this only when the law truly requires it.

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to production data is tightly restricted. We retain your family's records while your account is active — many families need transcripts spanning years — and delete them when you ask us to close your account.

From your dashboard you can update your information, review every record and AI conversation, and manage your subscription. To delete your account or a child's profile and data, write to us at support@foundationsfaithacademy.com and we will honor your request promptly.

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will update the date above and notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
